U radu je prikazana analiza romana Brama Stokera Dracula kroz različite aspekte, koji pokrivaju više od klasične generičke analize kako bi što bolje približili problematiku seksualnosti vezanu uz vrijeme nastanka romana, odnosno tzv. vrijeme seksualne represije. Tako ćemo se za početak dotaknuti gotičkog romana, gdje je Drakula smatran klasikom te prikazati socijalni kontekst viktorijanskog doba, nakon čega slijedi i kratki pregled o vampirskim mitovima. Potom, dolazeći do onog najbitnijeg - Drakule, kroz poglavlja: Politička zaraza, Industrijska zaraza i Seksualna zaraza, vidjet ćemo na koji način je Drakula shvaćen kao dežurni krivac, tj. nositelj svih zaraza koje ugrožavaju ono najdragocjenije čovjeku.
